ABOUT evan

Evan is a 15-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican artist and sneaker customizer, born in Bushwick, Brooklyn and currently living on Long Island. He’s been drawing since he could hold a pencil, and began customizing shoes in 2020—during the pandemic—at just 9 years old.

As of September 2025, EvanTheArtist has customized over 250 pairs of sneakers and cleats. His work has been featured on Complex Sneakers and he’s collaborated with Kids Foot Locker, Absolutely Ridiculous, VukGripz, CitiField, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Evan has also partnered with Major League Baseball, painting live at their annual All-Star events in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Texas, and was the featured MLB artist at FanaticsFest NYC.

Evan has created custom cleats and footwear for top MLB stars like Pete Alonso and Starling Marte of the New York Mets, Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the New York Yankees, and Jose Iglesias of the San Diego Padres, among others. His work has been featured in major outlets including Fox5NY, ABC News, Tiempo on ABC, The New York Times, The Athletic, Apple News, Newsday, AMNY, and the Valley Stream Herald.

Beyond art, Evan is also a philanthropist. Each year during Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, he raffles off custom sneakers in honor of his younger brother, Max—raising thousands of dollars for the cause. He’s also supported the Jazz Chisholm Jr. Foundation, which empowers young athletes in New York, Florida, and the Bahamas.

Evan is the proud big brother to three siblings and enjoys playing baseball, video games, and piano—and just hanging out with friends. He’s currently in his second year of high school. With a growing fanbase and strong social media presence, EvanTheArtist continues to make waves in the art and sneaker worlds.
